Today’s technology offers instant communications, instant news, and even instant manipulation. Discerning what is true and what is false is a daunting task. It seems we move from crisis to crisis, headline to headline, and the majority of people that only hear soundbites and get their news from social media embrace the carefully designed “Topic Je Jour.” The big problem is we focus on events far away and lose sight of what’s important in our own communities.
