How To Be Disqualified

We love our children, our grandchildren, and our favorites sports teams and our favorite food and drink. We love our favorite drug of choice and we love our sin of choice. Not everyone loves their country. Not everyone loves their spouse, or their extended family. Not everyone loves their jobs. Not everyone loves their homes. Not everyone loves their life and where they are in life. And sadly, not everyone loves God or His word. Who and what you truly love says a lot about you. Jesus told us that you can be disqualified from following Him by not loving Him more than anything else in the world. Is Jesus being strict and unreasonable, arrogant and cruel or is He actually showing His great love for us by saying this?
