Dr. Bell continues teaching with scriptures about living with the power of God even amidst lack. She explains that God can allow a famine in the land, but it does not have to affect believers. God can bless His people even while others struggle due to their disobedience. Believers are to remain focused on the will of God, trusting that He will take care of them. God can also send a famine of His word. Without hearing the word of God, we struggle spiritually. Neglecting time in God's word can lead to a spiritual famine in our lives. Conversely, creating a "famine" in our lives by giving away our resources to those in need stores treasures in Heaven for us. This act of selflessness aligns us with God's will and secures His blessings.
