Be the Light
Preaching on being a light in a dark world later tonight. After seeing a brother post about this topic, I was instructed to preach about it. God wants us separated from the world within our own spiritual walks; we are not called to be friends with the world (and their ways of doing things). Rather, we are called to be FRIENDS WITH Jesus-- Walk by faith- it is from this place of love and authority some walk and change a world (with help).
Those who are on the sidelines need to make a decision to go all in for God or be a benchwarmer...God is and will continue to do great things, but Satan is not playing, he is trying to destroy lives. God knows who He called to ministry and to what positions. It is time to hear from God personally and support who we are supposed to support. Some are called to change a world, these people will most likely have powerful people assigned to help them (notice I said assigned and to help them?). Be humble, hear from Him. If you decide to be a benchwarmer, fine but keep your mouth shut about those who answer the call. God's anointing is on these men and women (especially in these times) so watch our words against them which is against the church that Jesus is coming back for...
Matthew 5:16
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
John 3:19-20
This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
1 John 1:5-6
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;
Ephesians 5:11
Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;
2 Corinthians 4:4
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

And the Lord illumines my darkness.

John 3:16–21 (NKJV)16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
John 12:35
So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
