Sometimes very descriptive words get hijacked by culture. Such is the case with the word "radical." The words seems diminished due to the overuse of the word as a trite descriptive term. ---------- In our message this week, Frank discusses that while many people today have settled into a casual form of Christianity, Jesus calls us to be radical followers; people who are ready to abandon all else for the cause of Christ. ---------- We hope that as you join us and hear the Word of God taught, that His Spirit would guide you into an understanding that helps you to grow in wisdom and in truth.

Big Idea: While many of us today have settled into casual Christianity….
Jesus calls us to be radical followers.
1. Jesus calls us to a radical love.
(Journal) Mark 9:42
Matthew 26:24, ….woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.
Jesus warned that a lack of love may lead another into sin:
- By direct temptation.
Proverbs 1:10, My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent…. (15-16), my son, do not walk in the way with them; hold back your foot from their paths, for their feet run to evil….
- By indirect temptation.
Ephesians 6:4, Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- By setting an example that will cause others to sin.
Romans 14:13, Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
- By failing to stimulate others to righteousness.
Hebrews 10:24-25, And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Next Step: Pray for those within your circle of influence…. That you set an example of radical love and purity.
